Variational Modeling for Amyloid Fiber Aggregation

This page provides matlab programs for calculating the free energy surface of fibril aggregation (hexamer by peptide GNNQQNY in the current case). The procedures are based either on the free energy fastest descent method or on the sequetial search method. For detail, please refer to: Xianghong Qi, Liu Hong, Yang Zhang. A Variational Model for Oligomer-Formation Process of GNNQQNY Peptide from Yeast Prion Protein Sup35. Biophysical Journal, 2011 (submitted).
